We have anchors and anchor menus on most of our pages. The anchor menus are pinned to the screen position. The anchors are placed just above the headings in the various parts of the pages. We are totally exasperated by this defective "feature". Everything below is consistent across the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
1) Despite being pinned, the anchor menus will move up or down, from day to day, with no edits to the pages.
2) The anchors move up and down from day to day as well, in multiple pages. We placed guides in the anchor position to confirm this, and sure enough, even a day later we will see that the anchors are not on top of their respective guides.
3) Some anchors simply refuse to work. Clicking on an item in the anchor menu incorrectly positions the page on the screen. This is not a cache issue, because we have cleared the browser caches, refreshed the pages, with no joy.
All of which makes it ironic that these are called Anchors. Any help?
