We've recently incorporated a forum section to our (non-commercial) wix website. Overall it's working ok but little, unexplained things happen like all of a sudden one of our most-trending posts, i.e with views, likes, and comments going up, just disappears. Or after clicking on a post only a header with a blank screen shows up, even with the post's URL showing in the address bar. Same results with different devices, browsers & people. And considering I am the only moderator, I don't think it's just me randomly hitting "del".
Is there ANYTHING other than than just the forum app "Settings" in which an Admin can see what's going on behind the scenes on their forum?
I've been harping to all our Users that our forum is better than FB in many ways...but you really don't have anything, unless you have dependability.
Hi @0 Likes , who was the owner of the post? you? or some other member?
Currently we don't support some kind of 'admin activity log' that shows the action that happened in the forum. But its something on our list.
It's happened to 2 other members. Do you work for Wix?
Yes. I'm leading the Wix Forum team at Wix.com. So you saying another member was the owner of the post? you sure they didn't deleted it?
No, other than them saying as much, hence a "history" would help...
I agree. We will see what we can do about that. @Domas Sabockis
Thank you Refael. I'm a bit intrigued by the forum on many levels. I'm not sure how exactly to ask but can you tell me if the Wix forum app is more focused on being a support for the Wix eCommerce customers or equally as a social media platform for their "non-eCommerce-focused" customers? I know there is an app called Wix-chat. I was hoping Wix-chat was more like a PM that members of a forum could use between themselves; but I don't think that's the case.
@Refael Laufer can you please look at this post and tell me if it loads correctly for you? :
We have one recent post that shows up onscreen (a very brief "flash") then disappears leaving only the website header, the full post URL in the address bar, and a blank screen?
