Hi, @lise, currently you cannot change texts in these options. Can you let us know what would you choose instead and what's your forum about? So it will let us decide on more accurate solutions.
@Greta Galubauskaitė We are working on building a community of educators who share activity ideas. In the forum, if the button text could be 'Share an activity' instead of 'Start a discussion', it would be more intuitive and wouldn't require additional explaining to the educators from our end. Since our website is more forum-centered, this is being very crucial. We are even considering to shift because of this!
Hi @Greta Galubauskaitė just wondering if anything has been done since May to make this improvement? I also use my forum for people to post projects, so "Ask a Question" and "Start a Discussion" are both not intuitive or relevant.
It'd be great if we could choose our own text. Ideally, I'd like "Post a Project", but "Write a Post" works too if it has to be a generic option.
It'd also be great if we could have more standardised questions/fields that people can answer when they write a post to guide them.
I would also need to change the text of the "Add a discussion button". IN my case the forum is for collecting tributes for a friend who passed away. I would like to say "Add a tribute". Thanks. Massimo
I have a temporal solution...., do not allow users to see categories, that is the only one problem....i continue: put a button over the original button to create a new post, link the new button to the page of the category that you want "create new post", i mean, do as if you will create a new post in that category, but just take the url....then put that url in the new button, and then you can put the text that you want in the button post.
That is smart!
If you had ability to change the name of the button, what would you change it to? Simply "Create New Post" or something more specific? 🤔

Hi there. I have a food related website with a forum on it. My visitors should be seeing 'add your recipe here' or simply 'add your post'.
They don't want to start a discussion! They want to share content.
Is there a possibility to change that somewhere?
I see @lise, thank you for specifying that! I will share this with the Team, we'll think about such buttons improvements.
We need the same for our website

Hi, we haven't implemented such option, however your voices help us prioritise our product backlog.

Thank you Massimo for sharing your case!

@Domas Sabockis something in relation with your site....or something general like you said, create new post.
