How to Move to the New Members Area

    in Forum Discussions

    Hi,

Some of you already asked this question - how to move to the new members area (same one int this site - with the new profile page, members page etc.), with an existing forum?

So actually you can do it now :)

    1. Go to your editor

    2. Click on the add panel (+) icon

    3. Go to 'Members' tab

    4. Install the new members area

    5. Delete the 'old' members page you have in your site (so you won't have duplications), you'll see now 2 in your menu - but you forum will now work with the new one.

What if I already have members area installed?

    1. Delete your forum (don't worry your data will stay)

    2. Install again the forum from the app market button

If you have any question - please let me know.

I started building a new website on a second 'premium' domain a couple of days ago so I am assuming I'm using the latest Members app.

"Profile" appears twice on my member pages list and thus when members go to any member pages they see profile listed twice in their member menu. For the life of me I cannot see how to delete the duplicate.

    Many thanks ....... geoff

Hi Rafi, I get the idea of how to reset the members area. My question was is there a way to separate the members areas within the forum. I am working on a school website and want the teacher/student area to be separate from the Alumni. Is this possible?

Thank you for digging it @Rafi Laufer !

OH, I see now! I figured it was something like that. I'll be sure to let them know that's what they need to do to be seen if they want.

Oh, I JUST initiated the forum yesterday, just trying it out for the first time :)

Thank you very much for your time!

@fydbac first of all - your site is really amazing! I liked it a lot :)

Second - it might be that all of your members didn't join the community? cuz I see no one wrote in the forum yet, and I suspect they are not in the community now. They need to go to their profile and click on the join the community button. Let me know if this is the case.

    Hello,

Thank you for the quick reply!

This was my first time using the members list area, so wasn't sure which one was which when I had 2 member pages come up.

I just switched it to the other one. And still, I'm the only one that comes up. Very sorry if I missed the mention in the info., but is it that the member must be signed in to be seen?

Once more, thank you for your time!

Good news guys, the issue with following / followers counters is now fixed :) @malcolmbeagle @Zsolt Bugarszki

@fydbac - the screen you're sending is the old members page - did you upgrade to the new members area?

    Hello,

I too am having the issue of not seeing members in the members list: i have 20 members, all roles are approved for this page, but none shows up. Nor do the roles appear in the page SEO permission setting: it just says "Admin", despite all being checked.

    Thank you for any help!
