I checked the database of the category, post, and comment, and the pictures that are added in a post aren't included in the post or comment database. In what database can I find them?
Hi, all the pictures uploaded in your forum are held in a general Media manager alongside with all the rest of your site's photos. We currently do not have a separate database for forum's photos only. Is that your need?
Hi Greta, Thanks for your answer. I need a way to turn the posts and comment into memory books (virtual or physical) since each category is dedicated to sharing online condolences, photos, etc about a deceased. We tried doing it in several ways:
1. We copied each post and comment by hand and edited it. This was not a good solution since it is time-consuming and can't be done in large quantities.
2. We printed the posts as PDF, but this was also not a good solution because it makes a duplicate of all the pages with additional information + we need to it for each post separately.
S0, we thought about using the CSV data files of posts and comments and turning them into a document but the pictures are not part of these data files.
If you have other ideas or solutions for this issue I would very much appreciate it if you could share them with me.
Hi, after viewing the pictures on the posts, the pictures from all the visitors are placed in 1 folder, with no divider for categories or posts. I don't think this is a good solution it should be connected to the origin of the visitor who uploaded the picture. Plus it doesn't show which visitor uploaded a picture and it could be an offensive picture. So I think you should connect the pictures to the specific post/ comment it was uploaded to.
When reading, I was interested in are there any priorities of which info should be exported to such a tool? Photos/ Posts/ Comments/ Author/ Any statistical data like likes? If say, there could be the ability to export only 3 variables, what would they be?
In addition, you mentioned CSV which has an 'excel document' appearance- a strict textual image. On the other hand, if you like to have a visually appealing document focusing more on images rather than text lines, then excel doc is not the best solution 🤔😊 Let me know what you think. If you have any visual existing examples, it would help us to perceive your needs even better.
Now I'm not thinking about the solutions but gathering as many needs as possible :) They could help us to create an accurate tool as possible.
We only thought of the Data files because we didn't find a visual way to export all the posts, pictures, and comments. Attached is a template for the memory book
@Tami Dubi How interesting! Okay, I will continue focusing on this after the weekend. By the way, I forgot to ask your forum url - I'd like to see how posts look now if they're not private and if you don't mind?
Hi greta, The Hebrew web site is active now for about a week currently we have 2 categories. I just finished the English website today. So I just put in a small demo.
