Wonderful - Thank you, Greta :)
What is the estimated time-frame until this particular change is ready to go live? I'm asking on behalf of our Club, whether we can wait or need to find a different product/solution. The pandemic has put a bit of an urgency on this issue. Thank you.
I'm in favor of allowing people to use the wix Forum feature without users having to log in or register, because in our case, the Forum is already on a page that's only accessible to members via password.
Here's the situation, which arose due to the COVID-19 pandemic and everyone e-mailing with endless threads and not reaching those without an e-mail address:
I set up a page for our Club's ca. 50 members on our existing website. The idea is to allow our members access to that page by using one single password that I provide. Since we're dealing with 80% elderly people (seniors) I want to make this process as simple as possible. It's why I chose not to use the "Members-only" access feature, but the "Password only" feature. I don't want our seniors to have to register, because that will deter them from using that page; some seniors don't even have an e-mail address, however they do have access to the internet via their phones, which would finally allow them to interact with other Club members online.
Unfortunately, when adding the wix Forum feature to that members page, that feature asks a person to register. This is counter-productive! Members, who already have access to that page via a password should be allowed to use ANY feature on that page without further registrations or complications. Let them post and interact in the Forum by simply giving their first name (we know who is who). Thank you for considering this change.
HI, anonymous posting / commenting is not available, however we started working on that :)
Thanks, people on my forum do not want their names to be known

@lagardenclub I predict it for next quarter :) However there might be delays!
No.
