For example, my site discusses current events. One feature we offer is an ARCHIVING of local news posts which we want post to a specific category. Our forum page though sorts by all categories and so when we post something that is a relatively meaningless update (but still important as an archived article) it floats to the top of the list and can supplant otherwise popular topics at the top.
Is there a way to post a forum post as an admin, but essentially have it stay at the bottom of the list - until people start to comment inside the post if they do. Problem is, most of these don't even inspire conversation so it is just a distraction that they flow to the top of recent activity feed.
Could you maybe allow toggle of what categories feed into forum? So I could still maintain a category with archived stories for reference but they don't come to the top of recent activity feed? Feels useful to be able to separate certain utility categories like this that won't inspire conversations.
You only have two options, @Cam Papermaker — All Posts or 1 [one] of your categories. There is no option to show All but exclude one or any.
Have "Hidden" posts to blog or forums been discussed? Something you can link to directly, but is not eligible in any recent feeds?
Similar to hidden pages on the website builder side? Feels like an elegant solution. Admins get a toggle before publishing, "Hide from feeds/show in feeds"
Can any devs please chime in on this topic please?
I'm 11 days past initial posting at this point, @Greta Galubauskaitė could I maybe get a check in on thoughts about this concept please?
