Hello everyone,
I have been working on my site for about 4 years now and constantly tweaking it in my free time. It originally started as a web design exercise and has now become a business. I am here seeking USEFUL, MEANINGFUL, and HELPFUL critiques and opinions on how the site has turned out so far.
I have the forum attached to the site and am just seeking willing participates to give meaningful feedback so I can trust that everything is functioning properly across platforms.
My site:
Notes:
I am not using mobile optimization because I like working within the screen limits and checking to see how it translates directly on mobile. I am also a professional photographer, so I am also nerding out on how to make the photo sizes optimal for all devices (size / resolution) so that is a thing,
I use little tricks like pinning to screen to mock a responsive interface, but there is no hard code throughout this site. Just the basic available functions .
Last, this started as my portfolio website while I was in college for photography. As you can see, it has come a long way and its almost like a passion project for me now. So I thank you for taking the time to check this out!
I look forward to seeing what you all think and hope the community welcomes me with open arms. I plan to be around and asking question to make this site the best that I can. (:
Thank you!

Welcome 😊💃💃💃
Thank you, hello!
looks good! if you wouldn't mind repaying the favor www.gorillafutures.com
I couldn't get the music to play at the bottom, my only thing would be to have more of a theme, Im not a big color guy so it could just be me don't take that to heart.
Really liked the custom touch though
Hey there!
Thanks for taking the time to check my site out. I appreciate the feedback. I usually keep sites simpler with color but I wanted to push myself with this one and figure a way to tie in the three logo colors into the site. I'll keep pushing it to maybe be more digestible haha
I also checked out your site as well! Its looking good! Its actually similar to how my site look before I started pushing the color (grey with orange accents). The only things I noticed that could be touched up is:
the COURSE BOOK IMAGE should be pulled down a little to give it some breathing room above it. Right now its right on the top of the container and can be matched with the spacing below the "Join Now" button.
in the FOOTER, reduce your company name and subtitle ("Gorilla Feature" and "Learn to Trade") next to the logo just a tad and maybe center it under the logo to stay cohesive with the footer menu. It may just be my large resolution, but the company name is pretty big.
and I recommend playing with adding a (matching dark grey) shape behind the text under the "What's Included" section. So, behind the "Price Action" and "Gorilla Family" subcategories. I believe it would add an extra layer to enhance the layout a bit more. seems flat at the moment. It works, just lending a direction if you need ideas on tweaking it even more (:
That's all I have (: Thank you again for the feedback!
OH, last thing. On your blog, I recommend using the same background image but add a dark color behind it and then reduce the image opacity to 60-80% to help the blog articles pop more. Right now its getting overwhelmed by the brightness of the background. That's it. I promise haha thanks again
@Curated Stance Club! thanks a lot for all the info! really appreciate it!! Thanks again, its crazy how you over look things and then when someone points it out, its like DUH why didn't I do that.
sometimes Wix Sucks. They're good... but slow to implement new features in a quicker way. We can't do everything we want on wix as a developer. These guys needs to speed up things as the world is running out of time to an END. Corona-virus - Covid-19. In Wix we've COrVID.
