I just saw that since few days there is a blue color rectangle around the discussion title text field and the forum comment reply text field when typing a text.
I assume this is to show the entire space for the title or the reply text.
==> But I'm not sure if this is very useful, and it doesn't look well in my forum (dark colors) which now displays a blue rectangle.
And sometimes this blue rectangle appears only on using the space keyboard key (like with "Edit Post" option).
==> My point of view is I really prefer my forum without it !
So, is there an ergonomics reason to deploy this or is it just a bug ?
@Heath H-M — is this what you are referring to? https://support.wix.com/en/article/accessibility-turning-the-blue-boxes-visual-indicators-on-and-off
@winteriscoming — meaning the accessibility issue is not a Firefox (browser) setting.
I’ve turned it off for one of my sites and it no longer shows up on the comment box there.
It’s sad really, as I want to have it on for those visitors that need it, but it is poorly employed by the Wix team, with no padding for text input areas and it obscures the text. Might be a simple fix by them, though. I hope they fix it.
Thank you for your idea, but I tried to disable accessibility in firefox and unfortunately nothing changed :(
I don't understand the purpose of this and why you do not see it ?
PS : I confirm what Robin said about the first character of each lines which is difficult to read
It is displaying on my two website forums as well—and in three different browsers (so it isn’t browser dependent, just to add more info). It is annoying and useless because it sits right against the text at the start of a line hiding the letter at the beginning.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but do you have accessibility options turned on?
I don't see it on any of my sites that have accessibility turned off.
Here is an example in my forum which displays the text field blue rectangle and also a white stripe inside :
