First of all. I think the devs are doing great by adding more features but I honestly dont find this to serve a purpose in my forum. I'd like to just keep it normal. Is there a way i can disable the option to "Ask A Question"? But first, can anybody tell me what are good attributes it could serve that make it worth keeping? I Dont see a difference between both, otherwise I'd like to keep it.

Hi, John, yes, you can disable any of those options and stay with only one.
This can be done in Forum settings -> Categories tab. Then choose any of categories and set the type as ''Discussions&Quesions" / ''Discussions'' / ''Questions''.
The simple explanation about the difference between these types:
In discussion type posts people are more likely to discuss the topic / debate with each other via comments / replies - it's a long lasting communication based on opinions / assumptions / arguings / with other raised questions within the post.
''Questions - Answers'' type posts follow a traditional Q&A pattern: post owners place a concrete question with the expectation to get an instant, concrete answer that is usually a fact. Eg.: ''How can I manage categories types?" - my answer will be a fact without further discussions. Answers can be upvoted by members that support the answer and at the end the best answer gets a ''best answer'' badge.
Please let me know if my explanation was clear :) Try to use them both,I bet they will serve to your community.
https://www.bilenkalem.com/sorusor I have the same issue.I am getting complains about this from my users. Please can you deal with it.They said that they can write text and add pictures but when they click the publish button the page remains same.Nothing happens.
@onuryeral601 Hi, I need more info for faster issue identification. Is this issue persistent and happening to all members? Can you provide me screenshots of the post that is not responding?
My email is gretag@wix.com
Thank you @Greta Galubauskaitė I appreciate the time you too to write that. I am glad to know it can be disabled but i may just keep it i guess but i am grateful to know it can be removed
It's something that you guys can individually toggle on and off per forum. I think this is a wonderful option added by the devs. I actually think the ability to vote comments up as you can in Q/A posts should be a feature you can toggle on in discussion replies as well - similar to other popular websites that surface the most popular replies this way
