I'm currently evaluating wix as a time saving solutions for out websites. But I can't see a solution for this one problem.
We have multiple websites. Each website is for a specific country e.g. .com, .fr, .co.uk .....
All the sites are pretty much the same except a few changes like contact details, customer quotes and a couple of other things.
Is there any way to manage all this from one wix website or one wix dataset. Or do I have to create lots of duplicate sites and update each of them, every time I make a change (Which would be really time consuming)?
As far as I can tell one wix website only ever had one primary domain, which might be a dealbreaker anyway.
Hi there! I don't know more details regarding managing multiple sites serving different domains. But for storefronts, among domains like .com, .fr, co.uk, you can auto direct visitors to correct URLs based on their locations. It prevents visitors getting lost among multiple sites and increases customer conversion rate.
For example, you may use Geo Targetly. Its Geo Redirect tool detects visitors' locations by IP and directs visitors automatically based on their locations. If your visitor is in France, and he goes to exampleshop.com, it will auto direct him to exampleshop.fr.
It's easy to set up redirecting rules within a few steps. No code is necessary. The service will generate the Javascript code for you to add to your website. Wix Platform is perfectly supported.
Hope it helps!
