I have to say the Wix forum is very impressive and the team did a very good job on the featureset
(aside of the slightly odd lag when switching pages) but how scalable is this?
I want to use this for a game community, and even with image limit to 1 MB (this is sadly not decreasable to 0.5 or so), 50 GB will be a severe limitation. Can this be increased? The money is not an issue.
How well does the forum also scale with post count in terms of performance?

Hi, great to hear that to liked forum. Performance should not degrade with post count, obviously very large threads will load slower, but that's natural.
As for storage, to this date we haven't had anyone hit the limits (let's say we calculate them in favor or the user), so I am not sure about the solution, but once you hit them, I am sure we can find one. You can link to external images, but not embed them. There is an HTML plugin that you can enable in the app settings (in the editor), you can try with that plugin, maybe it will work.
It also looks like external images are not embeddable, which coupled with the limit which forces us to turn of image uploads, making the forum effectively not support any images, which I hope is not the case. Can you really not embed images, like videos?
