Great start to creating a simple wix add-on for forums. However, as my concept will be primarily forum based, I was surprised to find this missing quite a few rather common forum features. It is a shame because though I love Wix web design features, I will probably have to search for a different web designer tool because of these gaps with the forum add-on.
- Customizable content on profile - age, location, etc, already mentioned I know, but bump on this.
- Toggle to display profile content and have which displayed under your name per each post
- Toggle to leave a personal signature at bottom of each post.
- Direct Messaging. I know already mentioned, but bump on this too.
- Spell checker for posts.
- Ability to adjust the size of the "Your Forum" area or remove completely.
- Ability to adjust the size of the "Get Started With Your Forum" area or remove completely.
- Ability to further toggle layout of categories on "Your Forum" page to be more traditional based
- Toggle to require a captcha or I am not a robot button for each post
- Toggle to require admin approval for each post
- Toggle to preview posts
I know that's a lot, but these are all I think pretty common features that have been used in forum / posting sites.
Would you be able to provide timeframes if any on the features in case already in the works?
Thanks again,
Jared
Yes I would definately enjoy a more traditional forum view like the one below...
Or even something more like this:
Hi Jared B,
Thanks a lot for your great suggestions!
My answers below:

Sure, added your vote for this as well
- Toggle to display profile content and have which displayed under your name per each post
You mean, under your name, to have one field? or more?
- Toggle to leave a personal signature at bottom of each post.

Can I ask why its needed? the post looks exactly the same when you write and after you publish it (of course without the publish button)
Hi Rafi, no problem and thank you for the nice work. Responses below.
I did a few searches in feature request history and it would seem a few of these have been requested already. Because so many requests are being submitted would you happen to have a section outlining the running priority list of requests which are currently being worked and those next in queue?
- Toggle to display profile content and have which displayed under your name per each post

[Jared] - yes under the user name to the left of the post, toggle to display desired profile attributes such # of posts, location, and custom fields (like if it's a cooking forum, admin can create a custom field "favorite food" and admin can toggle to be displayed). Also options for admin to make any of these fields mandatory.
- Spell checker for posts.

[Jared] I'm in Chrome v60. Yes the Chrome spell checker works fine, but instead of relying on user to figure out how to turn this on from browser, would be nice if there was a spell checker button instead.
- Toggle to preview posts

[Jared] difficult to explain but even though the post may look exactly the same, I find I am better able to catch mistakes when reviewing in a preview mode. This may be the reason we see preview as a common feature in these types of things.
Thanks,
Jared
Hi Jared,
Thanks for your feedback.
I understand now the toggle feature.
Regarding spell checker, by default its on in all browsers. So you still feel you need a button? this is the native behavior now in the browsers.
Preview - I think in other products the text not looks exactly the same as here, but I've added your request :)
Hi Rafi,
My spell checker was turned off by default for Chrome. I had to do a little research to turn back on. Certainly not a critical request but you'll find most forum software has this probably for this reason.
Also, I did a few searches in feature request history and it would seem a few of these have been requested already quite some time ago. Because so many requests are being submitted do you know if there's a section outlining what's currently being worked on and list of features to be worked on? This may reduce the amount of repeat requests you receive saving you and the requesters time.
Thanks,
Jared
We of course have all requests submitted and written and we know the amounts, and we are working according to requests. You suggest I guess that I'll share this list with the forum members?
Yup, I think if you had a section showing what was being currently worked on and those to be worked behind it, you can then train requesters to check this section prior to new feature request submission. It would probably cut down on the overall number of (duplicate) requests you receive and allow more time for request processing.
Thanks,
Jared
It's a great suggestion, will see what I can do with that :)
