It would be a great feature to have the ability to merge threads so for example, if person A posts something about this new upcoming album but it has already been posted, the threads should be merged together into one.

Also here to request a merge feature
I would like to request this feature too. We would really like to be able to merge individual posts into one thread.
The issue we have is that we set our students a homework task of contributing to a thread on the forum by adding comments. Some students however decide to make a new post (start a new thread) rather than using the single post/thread we have set up. The result is we have dozens of individual threads with the same title. We want to be able to merge all these posts into the original intended homework thread.
This ability to merge posts, I believe, is a standard feature of most forums, and a vital tool in keeping the forum organised and orderly.
Hi! I would like to know if there are any updates on this feature? I strongly request this as many forums have had this important feature for years now already. This shall help posts that are duplicates of an already posted post.
@Rafi Laufer Exactly!
So if you understand - you want the ability to merge post B to post A, and all the content of post B will be moved to post A?
@thebabyinc I'm sorry but that is not what I mean however now that you've recommended it, I do like it!
Maybe you mean like merging sub categories?
Perhaps conversations in the 1st subcategory turned out not so many discussions so we'd like to just merge it with 2nd subcategory which is kinda similar - to simplify the categorizing and maybe raise awareness of it. So all posts from the 1st subcategory would all be dropped in and combined in the 2nd category.
For example:
Category: Desserts & Snacks
1st subcategory titled: cakes
2nd subcategory titled: cookies
Merged/combined subcategories become: Cakes & Cookies
That might be useful.
Just a thought.
I dont believe this will work out good.
Kind of. The second post will now be moved into the comments under the first post.
And what about the 2 main posts? I understand what you said about the comments, but what would you like to do with the main posts? To take one of them randomly?
Hi! So merging doesn't have to exactly be two posts it could even be more than 2 but I would like them to be merged through a button and all of the content on the second post can be moved to under the comments section of the first post.
Hi Leon,
Thanks for contacting us.
Can you please elaborate? For example, how would you like to merge 2 posts on the same topic?
