editing in the mobile version is limited (and this is the version customers use the most)
many changes have to be made first in desktop version in order to reflect on mobile
text size options is limited
log in bar size is also limited. there should be an option to decrease further in size given there is not enough space in mobile
forum layout and display options in mobile are limited. not enough changes one can make in size. it's just one fixed template (reminds me of squarespace).
I'm excited for the next update, I wonder when its going to come!!
Hi, thank you for starting this discussion. Soon, you'll be invited to participate in the next mobile web research project where you can share your requests!
For now, I'll ask you to elaborate a bit more, @Illariy.
- What are "many changes"? Could you specify what you need to customize in the mobile web version, except the font size?
- Could you also elaborate on "forum layout and display options"? What exactly do you want to achieve and why?
Before any changes, we really need to gather as specific requests/explanations as possible.
@Alin Baho, could you also share your experience with the mobile web version?
What about your reading/managing posts / replying, commenting experience?
Thank you both! 🌟
-log in bar size only goes down to 22. would be nice if it can go smaller given the limited space in mobile. (same applies to language menu bar)
-distance between both dropdown arrows and words "illari" and 'QU" takes too much space. would be nice if arrows can "adjust" based on the size of the text (QU or Illari)
-had to expand google maps strip (not my initial preference would've liked to have it as image below) in order for my business email to display fully however does not show entirety of email even when published. glitch?
can the mobile menu icon have more display options? seems too big
it be awesome if one can edit recent post feeds strip on mobile version (like adding more posts to display) without having to do so from desktop version (if i dare to do this it will literally mess up my entire forum page. unfortunately you gotta think twice before you try to make any further changes to your website bc one tiny change and theres something else that gets displaced.
-finally, photos come out too narrow (stretched out) would be nice to be able to enlarge them a little
hope this helps. thank you !🤗
Wow! Thank you, @Illariy, for sharing comprehensive feedback - this is what we expected!
Unfortunately, not all things belong to Wix Forum, some of them, say, headers or menus are being developed by other Wix Teams. Regarding Forum design, registering all requests, they will be considered before upcoming mobile web changes. Thank you again!
In fact, we keep the eyes on writing, commenting/navigating through categories, or reading on mobile web experiences most, if there's something that could make them better for you, we're listening to you!👓
