Some applications in Windows are having their own protocols to activate in the Windows Environment as well as in mobile OSes. For example, you can use file://c:/temp to list temp folder contents on c disk from Internet Explorer and/or Google Chrome.
The naming convention is protocolname://. Same like https://, ftp:// and so on.
In Wix Forum we can use objects like text and images to link with URLs based on http:// or https://.
In order to promote Wix Forum in the areas of training and support materials/instructions, it would be nice if Wix Forum accepts many other protocol names when updating URL links to objects. The idea here is when you want to show someone how to use the application, you can insert image (or text) in the post and attach URL - please see below the window.

Unfortunately, Wix Forum is preventing different protocol names than the standard ones. When I want to enter URL address based on the protocol name dynamicsnav:// it is not passing me through. The URL link is having similar format like the code below.
dynamicsnav://servername:999/servicename/Login%20Systems/runpage?tenant=loginsystems&page=22&personalization=00002343-0000-00c9-0008-0000836bd2d2&bookmark=23%3BEgAAAAJ7%2F0sAMAAwADcAMgAw&node=00002343-0000-00c9-0008-0000836bd2d2&mode=View
I am not sure if the URL link is long or the protocol name is not recognizable.
Could you please make URL links to be accepted for other protocols that are following Internet naming conventions? Thanks.
Hi,
thank you for thorough explanation, we'll add this to our backlog to further evaluate this use case.
Thanks Vytenis.
