Have you noticed the new category permissions? We are excited to announce that now you can create private categories! You can change permissions and give category access to individual members. Or, use roles and badges to give access to various sets of members. Private categories can improve your forum goals in many ways: Discuss specific topics with just the members you choose. Empower members to post comfortably, in a space where they know their audience. Share files and exclusive content with specific users. Hide discussions that might not engage your whole audience. If you’re a business, create separate categories for stakeholders and different clients. Improve the communication of internal staff - you could use a private category like a private message board , for different departments. P. S. We’ve just embarked on our mission to integrate private categories with Paid Plans , to make it easy to charge for premium forum memberships. Let's see how private categories are configured, and how you can give access to selected members: Create private categories in both ways: in the Live /Preview mode or forum settings. P ick/manage the members, roles or badges in the Live /Preview mode only. Now the most important part... Go try out the private categories feature and take your forum experience to the next level! (and don’t forget to share any feedback with us in the comments or email me: email@example.com )
We just released a feature that allows you to choose how many posts a new user can publish in their first week .
The options are 1, 5, or 10 posts per day. Or, you can choose to have “no limit”. The default is 10, but you can change it via Settings.
It’s a useful way to combat spam in the forum.
At the moment, this only affects new post creation. Comments, replies and likes have no limits.
As always, let us know what you think!
As you might have heard badges were released with a BLAST. Today badges got even better. We started showing badges next to avatars on posts, comments and replies!
This makes badges even more powerful when differentiating the members of your community that deserve recognition!
Badges are another way to motivate and engage your community to continue interacting with your forum. They also make your forum look more exciting.
You can award members for being the best or doing the most of something, or use them to give thanks and signal a member's positive participation in a community.
Forum Admins can assign badges to members in 2 ways: 1. From your Dashboard > Customer Management > Site Members 2. From your Live Site > Member Profile > Three dots on a member > Assign Badges

Don’t wait. Let a forum member know that their involvement in your forum is appreciated by sharing a status symbol - give them a badge!
