The latest features include a new Pinterest save button setting, rounded corners, guidelines and new template content. Pinterest Save Button Setting Quite a few of you asked for a way to add or remove the Pinterest save button from images. Head to your Editor settings > Display > All Forum > Choose what to display The Beauty of Rounded Corners! What do you think about the new rounded corners in this Wix Forum Community site? Rounded corners look nice and they go easy on the eyes because they help to focus your eyes on the content. To try out rounded corners, head to your Editor settings. If you want to make your buttons round go to Design > Icons and Buttons > Corner Radius To make other parts of the forum round, head to Design > Backgrounds & Borders > Corner Radius Guidelines New members really benefit from having guidelines that explain what behavior is expected of them in a forum. As a newbie, it’s useful to get a feel for how to use the forum before you start posting. Guidelines open the first time someone creates a post, then a member can close them once they’ve read them. Head to the Dashboard > Categories > Forum Info > Edit > scroll down to the bottom > switch the Forum Guidelines toggle on. Then go to your live site, create a post and you’ll see this panel appear on the right hand side of the screen. Well-written guidelines explain how members can engage with the community and are useful for moderators too, because if moderators need to warn someone, they can refer back to the guidelines. When you are writing guidelines, remember to include what people can do, not only what they can’t do. Use them to set the tone for your forum. Keeping it friendly helps to create positive feelings. You can change up the guidelines and show specific instructions or info or how to post for a specific category too. Add more details about what the category is for, and give instructions to members with how they can post in a specific way. Maybe you're using your forum for education or training and you want people to add a PDF attachment which includes their work with every post. Or maybe it’s a fun category and every post has to include a GIF or a joke. Head to Dashboard > Categories > Pick your category of choice > Edit > scroll down to the bottom > switch the Category Guidelines toggle on New Template Content For people creating a brand new forum, we’ve updated the category names and content in the template posts when the forum gets added to a site in the Editor. It was my task to write that content, so I checked out the 100 top forums built with Wix, and found a lot of them shared particular category names and posts. Also, forum owners had some shared topics in their pinned posts. For example, lots of people included the classic introduce yourself post which invites new members to say hello.
